My history

After graduating from the University of South Florida with a B.A. in Advertising, I started designing ads for the Tampa Tribune and then for the Atlanta Journal Constitution. I took the opportunity to work in a design firm in New York City (Sean Michael Edwards –now called SME Branding) that did logo development for all the major sports leagues (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL as well as some large colleges). They also did design work for other companies like Champion apparel, Lancôme and Colgate-Palmolive.

In 1994, I moved to Miami to work for Hunter Hammersmith advertising agency. They did all the advertising for Sandals Resorts, Beaches Resorts and Air Jamaica Airlines.

I worked for a few other design companies and ad agencies in Ft. Lauderdale and moved back to Tampa in 2001. Since then I've been at the same company, Doubletake Studios (now called Doubletake Marketing and PR).

We are a small company, but we've had some big clients, and we continue to grow.

Responsibilities:

• Design of print, web, email marketing, motion graphics, animation and video.
• Design and creation of a wide variety of projects including: Logos, websites, newsletters, brochures, videos, trade show booths, e-blasts, annual reports, billboards, presentations, vehicle wraps, ads, posters etc.
• Strong knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, Constant Contact and WordPress.
• Strong knowledge of layout and design principles, photo retouching and illustration.
• Strong knowledge of client relations. I discuss the objectives for the design project, the budget and the time deliverables are needed and frequently work directly with the client and other support personnel in the creative team.
